“Tu m’uccidi o crudele”, written and directed by Giovanni Calvino, evokes the famous murder of Fabrizio Carafa and Maria d’Avalos by Gesualdo da Venosa in 1590.

The reading key, however, is the grotesque one that plays with the present and the past to create a perfect circle of events, in a sort of absurd eternal return.
