In the second half of fifteenth century the Kingdom of Naples saw a war without quarter between the king of Aragon and his barons.

Intrigues, betrayals and about-face follow one another while in the background other interested spectators, the Pope, France and Venice, were involved in the fight. The “Conspiracy of the barons” will end only with the long siege of the Castle of Teggiano.
