The protagonist of the series is the young Emilio Rosacroce, son of a captain of the Bourbon navy and of an Indian princess.

Its events cover the last year of the Seven Years War, the first world war of which we can remember. The theaters of war, in fact, were the European countries, India and North America. (“The last of the Mohicans” is a novel of the same period).
